Walking - The Four "P"s
During these days when our nation is “social distancing,” walking outside in the fresh air is a great way to stay healthy. Whether it is circling your yard, pacing up and down a dead end street, or powering through an empty parking lot, wherever we can find a little space let’s get out there and walk, walk, walk. If you are new to walking start out with a slow stroll for 5-10 minutes then build up to a quick clip little by little. I typically walk for 30 minutes a day. Sometimes twice a day. Happy walking!

Penny helped me overcome a serious back injury through stretching and strengthening in her FitMamas “On the Ball!” course. If you are working through an injury or a health issue, she can help you too. She is fun and motivates each person to be their best.
Through Penny’s FitMamas classes, I went out of my comfort zone. Penny made me feel so confident. My flexibility increased as well as remembering to be aware of my breathing and positioning of my feet. Very relaxing, calming classes.

FitMamas classes really help me calm my mind. I always feel very relaxed and at peace when I leave Penny’s stretch and de-stress classes. I love the one-on-one time when she shows me what I need to fix or work on to be safe and to get the most out of my workout. I also love her encouragement with eating mindfully.
My flexibility improved by 5 inches and Penny’s breathing instructions have helped to reduce my daily stress. Everything is easy to do at home to continue enjoying ongoing benefits.
I have taken several of the My Fit Mamas classes and loved every one of them! Penny is an excellent instructor who considers her students entire being - not just the physical aspects, when teaching each class. I have only great things to say about Penny’s Personal Training classes. I took her classes in preparation for my Machu Picchu hike. She took the time to research what skills would be most beneficial to a crazy person like me who was going to hike 26 miles at elevations as high as 22,800 feet! Every little trick she taught me I used! Whatever your goal is, she can help you with it. She’s fun and inspiring! I highly recommend taking her classes.
Through individual training sessions, Penny helped me with symptoms of Parkinson’s disease to incorporate a good stretch in my day to day. She taught me hand stretching and strengthening which has helped with tremors. She also taught me foot stretches and walking techniques to help with my stride as I walk. She is a good teacher and fun too.
I look forward to another class with Penny. I know it will be so much fun.
After taking Penny's Stretch and
De-Stress classes my blood pressure went down by 30 points! I applied all I learned and got the results I wanted.
I loved every Cardio Strength Blast! session. Learning about the kettle bells was particularly fun! The workouts were intense but so worthwhile. My fitness is much improved.
